Aonuma says Zelda: Breath of the Wild won’t feature HD RumbleEven though there has been some speculation about the new game including this feature, Aonuma confirms that HD Rumble won’t be supported. His words, roughly translated, are as follows:
“Of course, if the game had been created exclusively for the Switch, we could benefit from the unique capabilities of the machine, including HD Rumble. It is quite extraordinary, for example, you can try to guess how many balls are hidden in the controller … That’s something I would have liked to use.”

Możliwe jednak, że to tylko błąd w artykule i chodzi po prostu o to, że gra nie była robiona z myślą o wykorzystaniu HD rumble'a, dlatego questy nie były robione pod wykorzystanie tego patentu, ale to wcale nie oznacza, że nie znajdzie się w grze. Jeden z komentarzy:
That's not what he said though. The game not having mechanics specifically built around it like other native Switch games isn't the same thing as the game not using it at all (which it does, as the treehouse guys and many people who tried the game already confirmed).
Tak właśnie było z Twilight Princess i Skyward Sword na Wii. W pierwszej grze machnięcie wiilotem powodowało po prostu uderzenie mieczem (działało jak naciśnięcie przycisku), natomiast w drugiej chodziło już o robienie nim precyzyjnych cięć i na tym opierała się też część mechaniki w grze (niektórych wrogów nie dało się pokonać inaczej, jak stosownymi cięciami, np. po skosie itp.).
