Reggie just confirmed at the New York City conference that this is a Wii U exclusive and Nintendo will publish.
To zresztą te, o których wspomina on sam.
Atsushi Inaba, executive director at Platinum Games, has given a straight answer about Nintendo’s involvement with Bayonetta 2.http://nintendoeverything.com/100010/no-bayonetta-2-without-nintendo-platinum-thinking-about-gamepad-features-teaser-trailer-talk/
According to Inaba, there wouldn’t be a sequel if the company hadn’t decided to collaborate with Platinum on the project.
“Would Bayonetta 2 not exist without Nintendo? The answer is yes.”
Inaba says that even though Bayonetta 2 will be hitting a brand new system – and the IP is coming to a Nintendo console for the first time – he doesn’t see the move “as a change in platform.”
“We are not viewing this as a change of platform. We were looking for a partner to create Bayonetta 2 and Nintendo was a strong, cooperative partner that was willing to create and grow Bayonetta 2 together [with us]. As a result the platform became the Wii U.”
The core of Bayonetta won’t be changing, even though the follow-up is in development for new hardware. That’s because Platinum makes the base of its games on PC. Inaba did note that Platinum has been thinking about the Wii U’s unique controller though, and the team is “putting extra thought into how to use these differentiating features.”
“We create the basic framework of our games on the PC, so even though the hardware changes it doesn’t influence the creation of our games. We’ve already developed our own engine to work with multiple platforms. Because of the Wii U GamePad, we are putting extra thought into how to use these differentiating features. There’s a difference in the game design side, but we are enjoying the challenges of creating games for new hardware.”
Inaba also touched on Bayonetta 2′s debut teaser. It’s very much like the first video for the original title.
Inaba commented on the similarities between the two teasers:
“Toward the end of development of Bayonetta, I was talking with Kamiya-san and Hashimoto-san, and they said ‘If Bayonetta 2 ever happens, we want the teaser trailer to be the same as [the first] Bayonetta’. We wanted to make it the same because Bayonetta is a title that has been loved by many people and we wanted fans to say ‘Oh! Bayonetta’s back again!’ All of the new things you see in the trailer, we can’t talk about at all at this point. We’re leaving it up to your imagination.”
Coming from Hideki Kamiya via Twitter...http://gonintendo.com/?mode=viewstory&id=186188
Yup. RT @mjpingram Are there any Nintendo producers working on Bayonetta 2. I know it's a common practice for games they publish.
During the recent Japanese Nintendo Direct broadcast, Nintendo showed the teaser to Bayonetta 2. Now after the presentation the title as well as copyright owners of the clips, teasers, videos etc. shown during the presentation were displayed. Every single game displayed had its copyright owner and title shown except Bayonetta 2.http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=492583&page=11
Another thing is if you visit Platinum Games's website and go through the information on all the games that Platinum Games have developed you will find things like the "release date", "title of the game", "developer", "publisher", "copyright owner" etc all displayed for the particular game that you selected. Clicking on games like Wonderful 101 will show you that the IP is owned by Nintendo/Platinum Games likewise clicking on Metal Gear Revengance will show you that the IP is owned by Konami.
Here is where it gets a bit tricky. If you click on Bayonetta 1 it shows information like "release date", "title of the game", "developer", "publisher", "copyright owner". Now the copyright owner of Bayonetta 1 is indeed Sega but if you click on Bayonetta 2 you will see that the owner of the copyright has not been stated. The absence of copyright owners name during Nintendo's Wii U preview event as well as Platinum Games website lack of information on Bayonetta 2's copyright owner leads me to believe that Nintendo might have bought or is in the process of buying the IP.

While it's not much to see, but the last part of the recent developer video for Bayonetta 2 had a 1 second monster clip at the end that was assumed to be CGI and not real-time graphics. The director of Bayonetta 2 Yusuke Hashimoto confirmed in a recent tweet that it was in fact a debut of actual real-time graphics from the game itself.(http://www.abload.de/img/bayo2lxsy6.gif)

Nawet zrobienie portu trochę kosztuje, a i jeszcze trzeba tytuł wydać, rozprowadzić itd.

During a presentation held at UCF’s Center for Emerging Media last week, PlatinumGames creative producer JP Kellams shared a few words pertaining to Bayonetta 2′s Wii U exclusivity:http://nintendoeverything.com/platinumgames-creative-producer-talks-bayonetta-2-wii-u-exclusivity/
Without getting into some stuff that is both business and confidential, the simple question I’d like to ask you is, ‘Do you want to play Bayonetta 2?’ Bayonetta 2 would not exist without Nintendo white knighting that project. So while I totally understand that people want to play it on the platforms that they’ve played it on previously, we really wanted to make Bayonetta 2.
But if you were going to sell a game on a Nintendo platform, what publisher would you choose? Right, Nintendo. Right? So if you’re going to sell a game on a Nintendo platform, the publisher that you want to be with is Nintendo because they know how best to service their audience and they’re going to do the best job of explaining your game to that platform. You very rarely see huge, major third-party successes on Nintendo platforms because it’s really hard to fight against Mario, right? It’s why Universal isn’t as big as Disney. I mean, it’s really hard to fight somebody on that kind of turf, so…
We really wanted to make Bayonetta 2. And Bayonetta 2 is a project that we were passionate about. And when we couldn’t… when the business situation changed and we couldn’t make it the way that we were originally planning on making it, we definitely wanted to make sure that our project survived. I’ve seen Bayonetta 2 – I look at it every single day of my life when I’m in the office. It’s really cool and the world is going to be a better place because Bayonetta 2 is in it.
I spend a lot of time on Twitter seeing people get really angry, ‘Why is it not on PS3 and 360?’ Right? So kind of the way it went was, ‘Why do we have to buy a Wii U for one game? Why isn’t it on PS3 or 360?’ And now that the Xbox One and the PS4 are out, it’s ‘Why isn’t it on PS4 or Xbox One?’ So then it’s not about buying a piece of hardware, it’s just that you didn’t want it on the Wii U.
And that’s cool, I mean maybe that system’s not for you, or maybe that platform isn’t what you want to play games on, but we really want to make Bayonetta 2 and we think it’s going to be a fun game and the people who do play it are going to really enjoy it and I think that we made the right decision to make sure that game survived. I mean I’d rather be in a world with Bayonetta 2 than without.
Two-player online multiplayer also confirmedhttp://www.nintendolife.com/news/2014/06/e3_2014_wii_u_eshop_version_of_bayonetta_2_does_not_come_with_the_first_game
A small disclaimer found at the bottom of the Bayonetta 2 official website has revealed that the Nintendo eShop version of the game will not include the Wii U port of the original title that was released back in 2010.
Before you reach for your pitchforks, it's worth noting that the text may simply be referring to the fact that it is not included within the same download and could, therefore, be available via a separate code.
In other news, the site also details a two-player Tag Climax mode, in which you can team up with another player online to defeat enemies.
Last year we mentioned that everyone's favourite dark yet oh-so-flashy witch Bayonetta was receiving her own anime feature film in Japan, titled Bayonetta: Bloody Fate. Now, thanks to production company FUNimation, the film will be materializing in the United States and Canada as well.http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2014/06/bayonetta_anime_film_will_be_distributed_in_united_states_and_canada
FUNimation has announced today its acquisition of the distribution rights for Bloody Fate in both North American countries. A small preview of the English dub is scheduled to be shown at the Los Angeles Anime Expo on 5th July and will include a Q&A session with director Fuminori Kizaki.
Bayonetta: Bloody Fate was made by Studio Gonzo. It, along with Kizaki, was also responsible for Afro Samurai and its sequel, Afro Samurai: Resurrection. Details on a US/Canadian release date for Bloody Fate have not yet been provided.
What we sometimes forget during E3, of course, is that some announcements are global but, often, details are specific to North America. So there are two updates regarding this promotion — let's start with North America. The official game website has now been updated with the following text:http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2014/06/two_separate_bayonetta_2_retail_releases_confirmed_for_europe
Bayonetta will be included with the purchase of every packaged version of Bayonetta 2. Nintendo eShop purchases of either Bayonetta or Bayonetta 2 will include an automatic discount on your purchase of the other game.
That points to a simple deal, though let's not 100% assume that the eShop automatic discount will mean Bayonetta turns out to be 'free', though we'd hope that's the case.
Due to that vagueness we've been in touch with Nintendo UK to understand the European picture, and it's actually been confirmed that there'll be two different physical retail offerings in the region, as opposed to the one option confirmed for North America. There will be a version without the first game, and another with both titles on separate discs, within the same packaging. As for the eShop, rather than the discount promised in North America, there's simply no announcement on details for Europe as yet. A summary of the three options is below, via Nintendo UK:
1) Bayonetta 2 solus
2) Bayonetta 1 + Bayonetta 2 (2 discs in one packaging)
3) The digital versions available in the Nintendo eShop in Europe will be sold separately
No additional announcements have been made at this time
The witch is back on Oct. 24. The game features over-the-top battles with wild weapons that take place in gorgeous set pieces. A new snake transformation lets Bayonetta better navigate underwater. The original Bayonetta game, complete with some Nintendo cosplay options for the powerful heroine, comes bundled with the retail packaged version of Bayonetta 2http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20140829005110/en/Super-Smash-Bros.-amiibo-Pok%C3%A9mon-Hardware-Bundles#.VABoZfldWSo

Alongside the likes of Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Bayonetta stands out as one of the best ports available on the Wii U. It's clear that a lot of time and effort was poured into this release in order to preserve and in places improve upon the original experience. While it's not dramatically superior to the original Xbox 360 version, we'd have to give it the nod as the definitive version of the game. The elimination of screen-tear, faster loading, and solid performance levels make a huge difference. Whether you've played the original release or not, this is a great way to experience Bayonetta. The fact that it comes packed in with most versions of Bayonetta 2 makes it one heck of a bonus.http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2014-bayonetta-wii-u-face-off
Enric Álvarez, który zniszczył Lords of Shadow 2, bo miał kur** 'wizję'.
Conclusionhttp://www.nintendolife.com/reviews/wiiu/bayonetta_2
Bayonetta is is a must buy for any action gaming fans. It's fast, intense and ridiculous, all with an entertaining story and a protagonist that is forever subverting and playing with her audience. It's pure Platinum Games, too, which means it'll likely be adored by its converts and ignored by too many — we hope that won't happen, as what we have here is one of the Wii U's best games, and a rare arrival on the system that's unashamedly violent, gory and mature, while still mischievously winking at the watching world. Bayonetta 2 is brilliant, brash and impossible to ignore.

Bayonetta 2's blatant over-sexualization puts a big dent in an otherwise great game.http://www.polygon.com/2014/10/13/6957677/bayonetta-2-review-wii-u

I won't guess why the blatant over-sexualization is still there, often more intensely than before. But it causes an otherwise great game to require a much bigger mental compromise to enjoy.

They’ll be sold as a package on February 16.http://nintendoeverything.com/bayonetta-1-and-2-coming-to-switch/
First, local wireless cooperative play is now supported. Tag Climax, which was previously online-only, will make use of the functionality. You’ll now be able to team up with a friend online or offline.http://nintendoeverything.com/bayonetta-2-has-local-wireless-cooperative-play-amiibo-support-video-capture-on-switch-new-screenshots/
Also confirmed is amiibo support. Platinum hasn’t shared the specifics, but says it will include the Bayonetta figure from the Smash Bros. line.
Also, unsurprisingly, video capture will be supported. Like other Switch titles, you’ll be able to record gameplay videos up to thirty seconds.
We also have news about Bayonetta 2’s pricing on Switch. The game will cost $49.99 / €49.99 on the eShop. After you’ve made the purchase, you’ll be able to pick up the original Bayonetta for $9.99 / €9.99. If players download the standalone digital version of Bayonetta first, they will pay $29.99 / €29.99, with the option to then get the digital version of Bayonetta 2 for an additional $29.99/ €29.99.
Conquest Entertainment, Nintendo’s polish distributor in Poland, has apparently provided a bit of additional information about Bayonetta 1 and 2 for Switch.http://nintendoeverything.com/bayonetta-1-and-2-will-reportedly-run-at-720p-on-switch/
Both games will supposedly run at 720p. That’s regardless of whether you’re playing docked or in portable mode. Also, both run at 60 frames per second.
Conquest Entertainment also said that the team behind Bayonetta 3 is similar to that of Bayonetta 2, unsurprisingly. The company did not comment on the involvement of original Bayonetta director Hideki Kamiya or Yosuke Hashimoto, who directed the second title.

Otóż to.

Nintendo recently updated its site listing for Bayonetta 2 on the Switch and it revealed what these new features will entail. Tag Climax—the multiplayer mode—will now support local play in addition to online, though with the provision that each participating member has their own Switch and copy of the game. Also, amiibo will now be supported, allowing players to unlock the Nintendo-themed costumes instantly. For those of you that don’t have the amiibo, the costumes will still be unlockable just as they were before, this will simply be a method of speeding up the process.http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2018/01/bayonetta_2_on_switch_will_come_with_these_changes
