Wii U is supposedly running a chip based on the RV770 according to endgadget.

Radeony HD 4870 X2 i 4890.

Iwata: Wii-U online direction

"And, what we found at this point is that, as we discuss the online structure with different publishers, the things that the different publishers want to do are in fact seemingly rather different.

"Our current direction is how we can take the desires of the third parties and create a system that's flexible enough to enable them to do the types of things that they might want to do."

Nintendo pledged to work with game makers to enable voice chat (VoIP).

Third parties worked on underclocked Wii U dev kits to debut titles at E3, but that didn't happen
Cytuj
Developers have underclocked development kits, and worked hard to deliver titles running on that hardware to demonstrate live at E3. However, due to titles not looking much better than what is currently available on Xbox 360 and the PS3, Nintendo decided late in the game to not show those titles and focus instead on tech demos. In particular, THQ stated that Darksiders II was running on development hardware and could have been shown. Also, Epic vice president Mark Rein tweeted during E3 that Gearbox's Aliens: Colonial Marines was being made for Wii U with Unreal Engine 3, showing that Epic is bringing its tech to Wii U. - Consulting Company Hit Detection

psx konsolą nintendo? i ty mi mówisz o historii gier video. proszę cię.

No faktycznie coś mi się pomieszało z tą grafiką. You win.

Imo Nintendo dobrze robi.

New Wii U hardware for devs in June/July

Square Enix Considering Wii U For Dragon Quest X
CEO says company must consider supporting both the Wii and its successor with long awaited numbered DQ game.
Cytuj
Dragon Quest X has been announced for the Wii, and Square Enix has repeatedly stated that it's going to be released on that platform. But it may have support for another platform as well.

During an shareholder's meeting today (a transcript was provided at this blog), Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada was asked about the logic of releasing DQX on the Wii when the system has passed its prime. Wada responded that Square Enix must consider making the game compatible with both the Wii and its successor, the Wii U. The company is currently doing technical investigations on how to support Wii U, said Wada.

Wada was also asked if he expects the Wii ports of Dragon Quest 1, 2 and 3 to actually sell, considering they're straight ports of the Famicom and Super Famicom versions. Wada's response was that the games are being left as is on purpose in order to celebrate the franchise's twenty-fifth

anniversary.

One U to rule them all - rozmawiamy z Laurentem Fisherem z Nintendo
http://polygamia.pl/Polygamia/1,96455,9830057,One_U_to_rule_them_all___rozmawiamy_z_Laurentem_Fisherem.html?bo=1
Co ciekawsze cytaty:
Cytuj

Valve zainteresowane WiiU
Valve interested in Wii U; 'It fits better into our scalability model,' says Newell
Cytuj
This morning, Valve head and co-founder Gabe Newell gave one of several keynotes at New York's Games for Change Festival, speaking to a variety of topics surrounding education and gaming. And while we'll have a full breakdown of that keynote in the coming hours, we thought you might like to know what Newell had to say about Nintendo's Wii U and his studio when we put the question to him.

"Wii U seems to be a lot more powerful than the previous generation," he told Joystiq. "It sort of fits better into the scalability in terms of graphics performance and CPU performance, so I think it'll be a lot easier for us to fit it into our scalability model." Valve has yet to release any of its games on a Nintendo console, though Gabe told us, "We've always loved Nintendo." He also pointed out that Valve has been slowly transitioning from the PC to console counterparts, starting with Xbox 360 and more recently moving to the PlayStation 3 in a major way with Steam getting ported to Sony's console.

And it looks like Nintendo may be next, as Newell restated, "Now it's a lot easier to look at Wii U and have it fit within that framework." As for us, we're most excited to see what Valve might do with the WiiPad.

Square Enix CEO said nothing about Dragon Quest X on Wii U
Cytuj
So… it looks like someone made a boo boo. Reports earlier in the day indicated that Square Enix will be considering Dragon Quest X for Wii U. However, that information was inaccurate.

A transcript of Yoichi Wada’s original comments are now available and while it’s true that the company is looking into Nintendo’s console from a technical standpoint to prepare for possible launch titles, he did not actually say anything about Dragon Quest X. The blog that provided comments from the Square Enix CEO noted that “Wada was absolutely not saying ‘Dragon Quest X on Wii U.’”

Nie będzie sequel'a Second Sight  :(
Cytuj
“We had some ideas ready, but we decided it didn’t have any momentum as a new franchise. [Publisher] Codemasters gave Second Sight good support and we even released a PC version (which wasn’t part of the original release plan). Ultimately history appears to have been much kinder to the game than we would have thought after its initial release. ...Overall it didn’t generate sufficient interest for us to feel it was worth making a sequel” - Crytek UK head Karl Hilton

Wii U za 634 dolary
Cytuj
http://gameonly.pl/news/wii-u-za-634-dolary#comments

Capcom's Kawata, Matsuura would love to make Resident Evil for Wii U
Cytuj
The following comes from Capcom producer Masachika Kawata...

"Whether or not we actually will develop a Resident Evil title for Wii U, we'll put that aside as obviously I don't know yet. But for me personally, I'd love to do just that. It's a very, very interesting piece of hardware. Whenever I see new game machines and their new possibilities get into my head, the ideas just start flowing. I'd absolutely love to make a Resident Evil on it. I really love the idea of being able to play the game even if my wife or my kids come and steal the TV. That's great, brilliant."

The following comes from Capcom designer Kenji Matsuura...

"As a game designer, when I see Wii U, my first thoughts are: 'Oh wow, I could do this or that, or what would happen if I try to make a game like X,Y or Z.' My motivation instantly goes through the roof and I want to try a lot of interesting new things. Nothing's been decided specifically for Resident Evil but it certainly would be interesting."

“Rather than compare specs with Microsoft and Sony, I’d like for people to view this as a different type of machine altogether. For me personally, what’s most important is what makes Wii U original, and that’s the controller.” - Katsuya Eguchi, Nintendo Game Designer.

Carmack - More inclined than ever to work on Nintendo platforms, Wii U a 'slam dunk' for Tech 5 games, Wii U controller offers more 'good uses' than Kinect/Move
Cytuj
The following comments come from id's John Carmack...

"Pretty early on we had a pretty negative experience with Nintendo back in the Super Nintendo days. They were a different company then. They were very much about tightening, controlling the sorts of things that they want to have happen on their consoles. But that’s long in the past. The issues in the current time have just been technology missteps, where we’re out of step with them; we were at a clear point where designing for the 360, PS3 and PC made lots of sense. But you couldn’t have one content development project naturally bridge the gap. If anything, I’m much more inclined to want to develop something for Nintendo now because I’ve got a 6-year-old son and we play Wii and DS games all the time. I’d be happy to do something there. It just hasn’t been the right fit for where id Software is with our projects and technologies.

It should be a slam dunk to move over to Tech 5 games on there. We haven’t had that discussion yet as a company, but it seems technically like it’s a valid target, so I’m always happy to go ahead and get a new box in and see what it takes to bring it up and see the pros and cons of the choices they made. I think they probably made a fairly intelligent decision with the Wii U.

I think there may be more good uses of that [Wii U tablet] than [there are for] the current generation with Kinect and Move... there’s clearly a subset of games for which things like that are appropriate for. We’ve been going on with how can we use those types of motion things with Rage and it’s hard to take a game that’s fundamentally designed around a controller and get value out of doing some of those other things, while adding extra touch interfaces there, that seems like something that almost every game could make some use of without it being just like, 'Oh, we have to do something like this.' Because if you remember, when the DS came out, there was a lot of talk about how, ‘Isn’t this going to be just a gimmick?’ But really it did turn out to be quite a good interface to build on."

Katsuya Eguchi talks about using the Zapper with the Wii U
Cytuj
In the latest issue of EDGE Magazine Katsuya Eguchi, a game designer for Nintendo has talked about first person shooters in relation to the new controller, singling out “the Zapper with the controller perched on top of it,” which is pictured above.

He said that “When we were testing that, and playing around with it, we realised that in terms of an FPS, it had changed the way we were interacting with it and how much closer it felt. That was one of the moments that made us very happy and excited.”

Bobby Kotick talks “deep rich multiplayer games” on the Wii U
Cytuj
Bobby Kotick, the CEO of Activision has said, in regards to the Wii U “it’s now more possible to do deep rich multiplayer games.” But, “we need more clarity from Nintendo on the online capabilities,” so there’s clearly nothing that has been locked down yet as far as the feature-set is concerned. Kotick also admits “we’ve had development systems for a while now and we’re very enthusiastic about it.”

We’ll support the Wii U if it’s powerful enough, says Bethesda
Cytuj
Pete Hines, the VP of Marketing for Bethesda, the developers of Skyrim has said “We want to make our games available to the widest audience possible on whatever platforms that will support the game. So to whatever extent new consoles fit with the kind of games we are making and support them technologically, we would certainly do that.”

So will Skyrim and Bethesda’s other work arrive on the Wii U? Maybe:

I honestly know nothing about the tech specs of the new platforms and whether or not they are a good fit for what we are making with say Rage and Skyrim and Prey 2. If they are a good fit for the kind of games we are making then absolutely, we would look to put them out for those.

“We’re close with Nintendo,” says Capcom
Cytuj
Christian Svensson of Capcom has said, in regards to the Wii U that:

…we continue to have conversations about best to tackle that. I have nothing to confirm right now, but we’re close with Nintendo. That’s probably the best way I’d put it.

Svensson also suggested that we can “draw [our] own conclusions from there.”

Aliens dev thinks Wii U is “a really cool stop-gap console”, excited about controller, more
Cytuj
Gearbox Software co-founder and chief creative officer Brian Martel was very positive when talking about the Wii U with IGN. But one the more interesting comments he shared is that Wii U is “going to be a really cool stop-gap in between this generation and the next generation.” I don’t think Nintendo has any plans for Wii U to be a stop-gap! I’m sure that they want the console to stick around for at least five years.

Martel’s full comments about Wii U are below:

“Right now we’re still finding out what kind of final tech specs the Wii U is going to have. But we like the system a lot; we think it’s going to be a really cool stop-gap in between this generation and the next generation. We think it’s really smart of Nintendo, and the fact that as a platform it’s a lot more capable for hardcore first-person shooter-style gaming – for us that’s fantastic. We’ve got the [Aliens: Colonial Marines] engine running on the Wii U, and as far as the console goes, you’re going to see textures at a resolution that you haven’t seen on [the current] generation. But the thing we’re most excited about is: what can we do with the controller? So the obvious thing for us is that we can do the motion tracker [on the controller screen], or the sentry gun information – all that kind of stuff. That stuff is really sexy for us. Getting the information off the screen and onto this device is a fantastic idea, right? So can we have a HUD-less environment? Yeah, probably. That would be fantastic, right?”

Darksiders II developers talk Wii U
Cytuj
Vigil Games general manager David Adams and technical director Colin Bonstead have provided some commentary about Wii U for Game Informer in an eight minute interview. Unfortunately, I don’t believe the video can be embedded, so you’ll just have to watch the interview for yourself here. However, I’ve transcribed some of the important bits from the video for those who aren’t interested in viewing it…

- David Adams has always loved Nintendo platforms
 - Excited to be involved with a new console and launch
 - Was also a challenge since the corporate office asked if they could pull it off in time for E3
 - Took about a week to get their base libraries up and running on the console without graphics
 - Another week and a half to get graphics to a point where you could seen something on the screen and play the game (basically rainbow colors)
 - Then worked on getting the features and graphical features in
 - Took about 5 weeks in total from when they found out about it
- Worked on it until the last day of E3
 - Fully functional build was ready at that point
 - Majority of the work was three programmers
 - Nintendo decided not to show the game for various reasons
 - A lot of challenges and late nights
 - Team was finding things and telling Nintendo about them and learned how to solve problems themselves
 - This was unlike the PS3/360 in that all problems have already been solved
 - First time the team has been working with Nintendo
 - Nintendo has been very supportive
 - Gave dev kits and access to the dev site quickly
 - Nintendo does their best to answer questions
 - Adams believes Nintendo seems pretty dedicated to helping developers get up to speed on the hardware and get stuff working
 - Development became easier towards the end as the team became more familiar with the hardware
 - Adams thinks it’ll be a pretty easy platform to develop for
 - Adams believes that being able to use the controller to manage your inventory, map, and other elements will be a huge advantage to the player
 - Bonstead could see you using the controller to aim a weapon in the game
 - Bonstead says that, with a little effort, they could probably run the full game on the controller
 - Fairly simple code can be used to put the entire game on the controller

Darksiders II dev: Nintendo has been supportive with Wii U, easier to develop for than PS3 was, on par with 360
Cytuj
Vigil Games has been very pleased with Wii U so far. David Adams, general manager of Vigil, told Game Informer that Nintendo has been supportive towards the studio by providing early access to kits and the company’s development site quickly. Adams believes that Nintendo is dedicated to assisting third-parties by providing them with knowledge to get their content running on the console.

Vigil was able to create a running build of Darksiders II on the console in the span of just five weeks. What’s impressive is that only three developers were working on most of the project. Although it took some time to learn the system’s quirks, Adams said that it became easier to work with the platform as the team gained more experience.

Adams also seems to think that developing for Wii U is easier than what he encountered on the PlayStation 3 and is roughly similar to Xbox 360. He told Game Informer:

“…You can tell the way the software is organized, the way the APRs are writen, that very shortly, it will become a pretty easy platform to develop for. Personally, I don’t really get into the what’s easier and that, but definitely from a pure programmer point of view, it’s definitely a lot easier than say the PS3 was. It’s probably on par with like the 360 as far as just ease of APIs, simplicity of how you interact with the hardware, and that sort of thing.”

Na Wii U nie trafi Assassin's Creed: Revelations
Cytuj
Trafi za to inna część serii. Podobno.

Z czym będziemy mieć więc do czynienia?

Far Cry 3 could come to Wii U
Cytuj
Ubisoft is bringing a significant amount of content to the Wii U. The company has a total of five games in development for the console. With so much support on the way, might Ubisoft also consider Far Cry 3 for Wii U? Possibly.

Lead designer Jamie Keen recently said:

“That all remains to be seen, to be honest. Right now we’ll concentrate on those three lead SKUs [PC, PS3 and Xbox 360], and we’ll have to see how it goes from there. …I’m afraid I’m going to be super evasive on this one (on Wii U possibly being a more mature console than Wii)!. I think the possibilities of Wii U… I think it opens up a new realm of possibilities for more mature titles, but for now we’re concentrating on those three SKUs.”

El Shaddai spin-off/port might be considered for Wii U
Cytuj
Have you heard about El Shaddai? If not, perhaps this will get your attention: the game was led by Okami and Devil May Cry character designer Takeyasu Sawaki.

El Shaddai is already available in Japan and will soon be available in North America. What’s next for the franchise? Ignition’s Shane Bettenhausen believes that Wii U could see a spin-off/port to Wii U.

“I think first we’ll probably do more of spin-offs… whether that’s DLC, I think it might be cool to port this to Wii U or Vita maybe.”

Capcom working on Wii U prototypes, may show something at TGS, says not to underestimate Nintendo
Cytuj
Capcom, like many third-party publishers, have been mysterious about revealing any plans they have in store for Wii U. The only nugget we’ve heard about previously came from Christian Svensson who said that the company discussing how to approach the console.

Recently, Capcom Europe head David Reeves provided a few additional tidbits. Apparently Capcom has been working on prototypes, but weren’t able to show any content at E3 last month. Interestingly, Reeves hints that there might be some Wii U news at the Tokyo Game Show in September:

“Capcom haven’t announced anything officially on Wii U. I think they have done prototypes. There are only so many things you can get ready for E3 [laughs]. But they might show something at the Tokyo Games Show which is where Wii U is more focused on. I haven’t seen anything personally myself but since the companies are quite close, I am sure they must be looking at something.

“Some of the big names like Ubisoft and EA said that they will support it. I think Riccitiello was on stage at E3 and said ‘I am going to support it’, and when they say that, they will.”

A considerable amount of Wii U titles announced so far will be available on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. What does Reeves think about that?

“Never underestimate Nintendo though. You suddenly think ‘how have they managed to sell so many?’. Wii Sports and something like that…people play for ten minutes. They become tired and they stop playing. I think Nintendo will bounce back. I think they will come out with some original First Party titles. Nintendo has amazing First Party and that’s what drives it.”

Xenoblade developers want to “make something that surprises everyone”
Cytuj
Monolith, the developers of Xenobalde who are known to be working on a Wii U project have said in an interview that “although this is Monolith’s first HD game, because they’ve been doing R&D for some time now, they’re having no problems on the technical front.”

Michihiko Inab, one of the developers with Monolith wants to “make something that surprises everyone” and “shows Japanese technology does not lose out to America.”

This interview was posted to help in the recruitment process for their Wii U game. It’s going to become a series of interviews so we should have a steady trickle of information to piece together over the coming months.

Gears of War creator is “dying” to see the Wii U
Cytuj
Epic Games has not announced direct support for the Wii U. But they are bringing their Unreal Engine to the platform. That’s a strong hint they could end up bringing a game to the Wii U. In addition to that, Cliff Bleszinski, the creator of Gears of War has expressed his interest in the system and also defended it against the trash talkers.

“From what I’ve seen, it looks pretty cool,” he said. “It seems like you can stream your game from your television directly to your [tablet] controller, so if you have irritable bowel syndrome, or a small bladder, you can still play it in the toilet. That’s great. But, you know, from what people are saying online, they’re like, ‘Oh, it’s just a DreamCast, whatever.’ But it’s like, ‘Dude, what’s old is new sometimes.’

“The Power Glove [back on NES] led to the Wii, right? The Virtual Boy led to the 3DS, right? A lot of these older technologies that you forget about are [the technological predecessors]. The Kinect is a sophisticated webcam, right? So I’m just dying to see it. It’s Nintendo. I’ll buy it. I know I’ll buy it. They’ll talk sh*t but they’ll buy it.”

Sounds about right.

Monolith opens a new studio in Kyoto, Japan
Cytuj
We’re aware that Monolith is working on a Wii U project. And in an effort to “expand its partnership with Nintendo,” they’ve formed a new studio in Kyoto, Japan. This doesn’t specifically relate to their Wii U project, but opening a second studio does sort of suggest they may want to get a head-start on other projects. At the very least, they’re continuing to expand which’ll surely serve us in the end.

Nintendo on the circle pad decision for Wii U, Wii U as the system for all gamers, two Wii U controllers at once
Cytuj
"When we thought about having this controller in someone's living room, we kind of looked at it from a stylistic perspective. Rather than having a giant analog stick sticking out of the controller we thought the circle pad looked aesthetically more pleasing." - Katsuya Eguchi

"This is a system for you, whether you are the most experienced, passionate gamer, or whether you are brand-new to gaming experience. If we're able to do that we will have achieved something that hasn't been done before in terms of a platform that cuts across all genres, that cuts across all types of consumers, to deliver something truly meaningful." - Reggie Fils-Aime

"We do not have any such plans right now, but in the future we could explore how two controllers might be used in game play and what new experiences that might introduce. We will make such announcements (about selling controllers separately) later in each territory." - Kit Ellis

Insomniac not sure if it’s too late for Overstrike on Wii U, was surprised about the console
Cytuj
“Since we haven’t talked about a release date, I don’t know if it’s too late or not [to bring Overstrike to Wii U as well]. You never know. For now, what we’re talking about though is that Overstrike is going to be out on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. … I was surprised (about Wii U). I wasn’t expecting a handheld controller of that size, and I wasn’t expecting a touch screen, so I think all of us saw a lot of opportunity in terms of how we could use that second screen with an HD screen at the same time. All of our designers and anybody on our team, I think their first thought is, ‘How could we use this to enhance our games in some way?’ Since every game is designed differently, there’s always a different opportunity. I don’t think, one size fits all when youre talking about a controller like that. It’s got to fit the game that you’re making. We continue to be surprised by how people are using Move and Kinect and it’s a nice part of one’s toolbox.”

Vigil - Darksiders II at the same level as 360/PS3, but Wii U looks to offer more power
Cytuj
"We're not trying to bump up or bump down, but we reached it, and it wasn't hard. Once we got it up and running it was like 'cool, there it is. We're still waiting on that final hardware and architecture, and help from Nintendo to figure that out. Right now, it looks like it's more than the 360 or PlayStation 3, but there's still a question mark about how much you can squeeze out of it. You know how it is, a new system, tricks get learned as the lifespan goes along, so this is where we're starting, and it looks good. There was pressure originally as we only got the Wii U development kits about six weeks before E3 and wanted to get it up and running. Learning new hardware is the hardest part, it's uncharted territory. You have a problem with Xbox, you call up, and the answers online - it's all ready. Whereas this time, you call up after finding a problem, and they're like 'wow, we don't know, let us know if you find an answer!' It's not hurting the other platforms because to get Wii U running we need dedicated heads to think about how we're going use the Wii U platform to make the game cool." - Vigil's Jay Fitzloff
http://www.gonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=163615

Vigil on Wii U power, "minimum on par" with 360/PS3, Game Boy-like dev controller, 2nd-gen dev kits and more

Cytuj
Vigil, the dev team behind Darksiders II has revealed a lot about the Wii U, and also confirmed that they are working on second generation dev kits.

"There's plenty of horsepower there, so we're not going to have to make any visual concessions at all for Darksiders 2. At a minimum on par (with 360/PS3), for sure. Whether or not we can go one step further, that might be driven by what's available on the PC and whether or not that is easy to translate to the Wii U hardware, because there are most likely going to be resolution choices for the PC version of the game. We know some gamers are just going to have more horsepower at their disposal. It's probably going to be the same graphically, regardless of any minor or major horsepower improvements on the Wii U. But, in all honesty, if the Wii U turns out to be this ridiculously powerful machine, we will probably make changes to our budget and scope to take advantage of that. But that's currently not the plan. It's going to be a direct port. That's what we're planning on. But that's based off of what we believe the hardware's going to be like." - game director Marvin Donald

Vigil also talked about their plans to fine-tune the game and how they were going to implement controller screen use...

"We're definitely going to do the obvious stuff, like making the inventory available and showing maps. But as far as more game oriented elements, more reactionary things or things happening while you're in combat or while you're traversing and getting the controller involved in that, I don't really know. We just haven't taken that step yet. The first thing we needed to do was get what we had already working and make sure it was solid. There are still some issues we have to work out. The game doesn't run perfectly on the Wii U as it is now. There are some things we have to deal with. But it's to be expected because the hardware's been changing and, also, there's really no precedent for it."

We also learn that the Wii U dev controller was much different from what we saw at E3 2011...

"The last version of the controller we had was literally a giant Game Boy. It was very clunky. The shoulder buttons were really high, so they were out of reach, so you had to shift your hand to use a shoulder button. In the middle of combat that's just not an option. The controller we saw at E3 was not what we had."

Finally, Vigil admits that DarkSiders II's release date is definitely impacted by the Wii U launch, which hasn't been confirmed yet. As of right now, it looks like somewhere between August and December 2012.

"It just worked out so when we thought we'd be done should roughly coincide with the Wii U launch. I'm sure there are going to have to be some adjustments, but it's a great opportunity to have something like this available on day one for a new console. We like to think a lot of people will pick it up for the Wii U whenever they buy one. I'm sure the Wii U will be very popular. But I'm sure that will be driven by the pricing, too. But Nintendo's usually relatively inexpensive. We're excited about that. But because we don't know exactly when the Wii U is coming out, it's definitely affecting our release as well."

Rumor: Download GameCube games on Wii U
Cytuj
Unlike Wii, Wii U will not be compatible with the GameCube in any fashion. That means you won’t be able to play GameCube games or use the console’s accessories.

Is the GameCube truly dead, though? Nintendo of America’s Amber McCollom stated outright that Wii U is capable of downloading titles from the old system through WiiWare:

“You know it’s interesting that you bring up backwards compatibility and Nintendo’s history usually goes back one system. The Wii was compatible with GameCube and Wii U will be compatible with Wii and that’s pretty traditional in launches from Nintendo. …Actually the GameCube discs will not be compatible with Wii U, but a number of the games that were playable on GameCube can be downloaded from WiiWare.”
http://nintendoeverything.com/69859/

Nintendo won't discuss downloadable Cube games on Wii U
Cytuj
Nintendo of America actually responded to requests to clarify their earlier comment on downloadable Cube games on Wii U. Obviously, they aren't going to talk about it in detail.

"To clarify the capabilities of the Wii U system: As correctly stated, Wii U will not play Nintendo GameCube discs, however Nintendo has not made any announcements regarding downloadable content."

The only good thing I can say about this is that it's not a denial. Wouldn't it be nice to download a few Cube games for Wii U?

Miyamoto: The Wii U is ideal to “accommodate new types of games and new characters”
Cytuj
It’s been a while since there’s been a new franchise from Nintendo like Mario or Zelda. Shigeru Miyamoto has said though that the Wii U is “the ideal system to accommodate new types of games and new characters.”

This is the full quote where he also re-confirms the existence of Pikmin on the Wii U:

It was my goal with the Pikmin, I started to develop for the GameCube and there will also a Pikmin Wii U I’m working on too. But I agree: do not always do it again. From this point of view, the Wii U looks good: it is the ideal system to accommodate new types of games and new characters.

Let’s hope Nintendo rolls with it. They tend it play it pretty safe in that they stick with franchise they’re familiar with, but something completely different would be nice too.

Epic mocno zainteresowane Wii U
Cytuj
