Jeden z najkonkretniejszych tytułów tego, jakże biednego dla Nintendo, E3.

IGN opisuje grę jako "fantastic looking first-person shooter with great controls to match."

Jak na Wii wygląda nieźle, ale w porównaniu do obecnych FPSów to wygląda słabiutko. W każdym razie gierka może być nawet fajna.
Lepiej zrobiliby coś na Ps3 i Xa, a nie tracili czas na Wii :P

Jak na Wii wygląda nieźle, ale w porównaniu do obecnych FPSów to wygląda słabiutko. W każdym razie gierka może być nawet fajna.
Lepiej zrobiliby coś na Ps3 i Xa, a nie tracili czas na Wii :P

Na Wii stracą czas zyskają pieniądzę. Na PS3 , Xa stracą pieniądze zyskają uznanie pana POK :P

An organization called the Trust has sent in Secret Service agent, Mr. Ford, to go up against the insect-like alien race known as “The Drudge.” Armed with an array of futuristic weaponry and an intelligence-gathering device simply called the “All-Seeing Eye,” players follow an intricate storyline filled with conspiracy, shady government activity and terrifying aliens.

    The Conduit’s detailed control system allows players to customize and configure look sensitivity, turning speed, the dead zone and much more. As players delve further into the mystery behind the extraterrestrial invasion, shocking details reveal that the invasion may have been brought on with help from the government itself.

All hail The Conduit. They?ve done some nice work?The Conduit has really solid tech and art direction. Beyond that, we don?t know much right now. We?ll see what the reviews and fans say in a few months. What people seem to be reacting positively to is the realistic art direction a la Halo/Resistance/etc. given that it?s has rarely been attempted on Wii. If that?s working for them, fantastic.

The Conduit was present in a six page preview focusing on the game's single and multiplayer modes. Some interesting facts present in the issue include:

    * Game features a 16 player online mode. The game will either find random players from around the world or players whom you've registered a friend code with. WiiSpeak is present, though you can only talk with players you've registered a friend code with.
    * All of the game's multiplayer maps are based on single player locations, though updated dramatically. One stage they played was a Medical Facility. Another stage was a Training Complex. In the Training Complex everyone starts the match with a rocket launcher.
    * Sega is pondering over whether they should implement an attack that turns the player 180 degrees and quickly attacks a player from behind.

Conduit bonuses unlocked through ASE

The All Seeing Eye is not just an object which unlocks doors but it will help with unlockables as well.

You may have noticed in The Conduit the odd writing on the walls which is written in Drudge language and is only seen with the ASE. It has been confirmed that by searching for and decoding these strange Drudge writings throughout the Conduit that you will in turn unlock bonuses for the game.


If this sounds a little familiar to you thats because it is. Metroid Prime 3 had a similar design in that you had to search for Lore by scanning certain spots in the environment to unlock credits which could ?buy? you extras in the game such as concept art, music and the infamous cockpit bobblehead Mii.


The bonuses are unknown but regardless this will increase the replay value and add a little more play time to the single player side of things which is never a bad thing.


In addition to the unlockables, stats will include how many headshots you have had and how many kills with what weapon you have had to name a few. Multiplayer will have these same type of stats for online play.

D : Do you have to exchange Friend Codes to hear people speak to you?

EN : We do have Friend Codes. It was something we wanted to make as elegant as possible, but while still working within the boundaries of Nintendo. I personally am not a fan of Friend Codes; however, I understand why they are there. As long as it?s not a pain in the butt to get it in there, and you don?t have to continually re-enter it or anything like that, I think folks will be fine with entering it once and away you go.

D : I know the Wii isn?t known for being DLC friendly, however, could we see DLC for The Conduit?

EN : For The Conduit, there will not be downloadable content, but that?s something that?s definitely on our radar. With the version 4 update to the Wii, it?s incredible. I know for myself, I?m doing a lot more WiiWare right now, now that I have the space to put stuff on there. It?s definitely something we are aware that first-person shooter fans like is being able to download maps, download weapons, download new skins. It?s great for developers, as it?s a steady, incremental revenue streams, and it?s great for players, as it extends the gameplay in new and meaningful ways. All the way around, we are keenly aware, and it?s definitely something to keep an eye out for what we have cooking in the future.

?We?re going to have some really cool announcements around E3 and we?re really excited to show off some our new tech.

- Free for All mode: players frag each other until a predetermined frag count is met
- Marathon mode: get as many kills as you can in a certain time limit
- Three Strikes: play a match with only 3 lives to spare
- Last Man Standing: be the last man standing
- ASE Football: the player that holds onto the ASE the longest wins
- Bounty Hunter: take out specific targets, lose points for taking out wrong targets
- Team Reaper: play Quick Match and Marathon with sides
- Shared Stock: teammates share lives from a team pool
- Team Objective: capture the flag style, but with the ASE replacing a flag
- Team Objective 2: one ASE in a level, grab it and bring it back to your base to score
- WiiSpeak supported, but you?ll only hear the players that are actually standing close to you in the game

SEGA has already dated the anticipated Wii FPS The Conduit for June 23 in North America. Gamers living in Europe meanwhile, have been left waiting to see when the game would arriving. If SEGA?s own official The Conduit site is to be believed, European gamers will be able to purchase the game on June 26. That?s not too long of a wait, considering it will come out just three days before in North America.

- Hospital: lot of corridors, corners and small rooms. Fit for pistol and small guns
- The Pentagon: Very good combination of big central area with rooms and ?balconies?. At the end, everybody goes to the central space. Some sewers, too. Fit for all types of weapons, snipers particularly
- On the Streets: big empty area with destroyed buildings around. This demo was played with Bazookas only

Overall I was having a blast ? I'll freely admit that I'm nowhere near as good at first-person shooters as most people, and by the time everyone else was up to speed on the game's controls I was having my ass handed to me on a platter. And going by the reaction in the room it seems that The Conduit is a hit with the FPS fanatics. This is easily one of the Wii's best titles of the year, and definitely a shining moment for hardcore gamers with a Wii in their possession.

Czyli ocena jest ok ale bez szalnstw - zobaczymy po jkich cenach bedzie na allegro chodzic i wtedy jak beda akceptowalne mozna bedzie pomyslec nad zakupem.

W miarę ocena. Jak na pierwszy strzał tej firmy, to można powiedzieć, że udało im się wbić na rynek :) W tej recce chwalony jest tryb multi, więc jeśli tylko będzie dużo graczy, to chętnie kupię grę, by poszaleć przez neta :)

This time we have the German gaming mag 'Wii Magazine'. They've published their final review for The Conduit, and the game manages to come away with a score of 87% out of 100%. That's two review scores for The Conduit that fall into the 80s region, which sounds pretty damn good to me.

The game was originally slotted in for a June 26th release, and still is on track for June 23rd in the US, however due to localisation issues will come out a fortnight later in Europe, on July 10th. Oddly enough the Australian version also sees a similar delay, being held back to July 16th.

It's not revolutionary, but the Conduit is a great first-person shooter designed just for Wii owners. While the game does not turn the genre upside-down, it is innovative in certain areas -- for example, it features the most customizable, precise and enjoyable controls of any console shooter created, hands down. Meanwhile, the technology powering the experience is leaps and bounds ahead of most third- party offerings for Nintendo's system. Combined, you've got a game that controls flawlessly and looks great. If you're okay with a few presentational cliches -- a story involving aliens that seems played out -- and a shooting experience that rarely strays from straightforward running and gunning, you're probably going to love the end product. If, on the other hand, you own another system, nothing The Conduit offers, fantastic controls aside, will seem extraordinary. Supposing you are a single console owner, though, High Voltage's shooter not only delivers a fun single-player quest, but an engaging online mode that will keep you fragging complete with WiiSpeak support for months to come.

Vooks: The online Wii fans around the world have been mostly behind The Conduit giving massive amounts of support, how high are your hopes for this support to carry onto the less Hardcore/Online fans, particularly after what has happened with Madworld?

JO: It?s a shame about MadWorld. That being said, however, we?re a very different game ? when people see The Conduit, I think that they instantly ?get it.? I?m not sure if that was the case with Madworld, unfortunately. We made an intentional decision on our side to give a Hollywood blockbuster-style of feel and look to the game ? and we hope that this translates into a greater level of accessibility with the title. We?ve taken some heat for it, but I think it was the right decision ? we offer a great core gamer experience but I think there?s a familiarity to it that people can understand.

Another important point as well is that it will hopefully draw in Wii owners who before were too intimidated by the mouse-and-keyboard or dual analog controls. That?s been very gratifying for us ? when we demo the game for folks who may not have played a shooter before, or 360/PS3 gamers who haven?t played an FPS on the Wii, we?ve discovered that the learning curve is very fast and that people pick up how to play very quickly. There?s a direct connection between aiming a weapon and using the pointer that you don?t get with other input devices. In that regard, we may be a good gateway game to introduce more folks to the wonderful world of FPSes. (smile)

Vooks: What other multiplayer games did High Voltage draw from to make sure that The Conduit?s online was a great experience?

JO: We get a lot of comparisons to the feel of Perfect Dark and Goldeneye on the N64. I think that we share the same spirit of these games ? I?m not sure exactly how to define it ? but I think it?s a fair comparison. We also looked very closely at Halo ? it sets the standard for console FPSes and we?d be foolish to not take a look. Finally, we looked at the other Wii FPSes titles out there and tried to learn what works and what doesn?t work on the Wii. The big take-away from the Wii titles is to avoid gimmicky implementation of motion-controls. Just because you can do it, doesn?t mean you should ? and we worked really hard with our motion controls to make sure that it felt like an intuitive and natural extension of the controls. If it felt contrived or if we felt it would get annoying after repeated play, we cut it. Buttons have worked great for 30+ years now ? no need to get rid of them in favour of a motion if they just make sense in a particular instance.

Anyway, we are very interested to make a sequel to The Conduit, it?s quite a robust world and there are more stories we want to tell. The Conduit is the first part for our hero and we want to make more parts to tell more things about him. We have not started to work on a sequel.?
