Suda za bardzo pokochał postać Travisa i nie było innej możliwości niż stworzenie sequela.

C-u-d-o-w-n-i-e.  :-D

NMH to jedna z najlepszych gier obecnej generacji.

Europe will get two versions of No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle…extreme violence, and less violence

Cytuj
Grasshopper Manufacture's Suda 51 has told Eurogamer that No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle, the sequel to his cult Wii action game that was announced yesterday, will release in two versions in Europe, one censored for heavy violence.

"We won't be able to make the same game for all territories," Suda 51 said in interview at the Tokyo Game Show. "For Europe, we're going to release two versions. One extreme version, and one with less violence."

The first No More Heroes featured dismemberment, beheading and showers of blood in the US, but in the Japanese version, enemies exploded in fountains of ash and coins. The European version was the same as the Japanese, which caused some controversy.

No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle will follow the same route, but both versions will be made available in Europe, to please hardcore fans as well as supermarket bosses and German censors.

"The last time I did a European press tour, everyone asked me this," the eccentric creator said. "With No More Heroes 2 we want to please the fans too. I want the European users to be able to experience the extreme version."

However, Suda 51 denied that either version of the first No More Heroes could be considered the original. "When I first had the concept, I had both the bloody version and the milder version in mind," he said.

"So when I worked on the US version, it wasn't a problem for me to make, but when I made the Japanese version, I needed to rethink it a little bit. But I did both at the same time."

We'll publish a full interview with Suda 51 soon.

Suda - No More Heroes Desperate Struggle is Wii-exclusive, and don’t count out Wii graphics

“We wanted to do it for the Xbox 360, but the Wii’s motion controlled interface feels the best. We don’t have plans for an Xbox 360 No More Heroes. There is nothing of that sort scheduled in our development cycle. There’s still room for the Wii’s graphics to get better and better.” - Suda51

A few more details for No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle
Cytuj
Taking place three years after the end of the first title, No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle sees hero Travis Touchdown embark on a mission of revenge following the murder of his best friend. Featuring improvements to the game engine and graphics, Suda51 also promises a far busier Santa Destroy, much darker tone and also a few surprises to come.

Suda myśli też o online.
Cytuj
He's also "very interested" in online play, though sounded slightly less committed to the idea when he discussed it with CVG, describing it as "still up in [the] air."

Ciekaw jestem czy w NMH2 będzie może Sylvia Krystel... Pewnie nie ale fajna była na filmikach w jedynce.

Suda 51 Interview:
http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=261513
Cytuj
? (Suda on the game?s tone) I think it?s time for No More Heroes to become serious. But it?s going to have humour, don?t worry. It won?t be too serious.

? (Suda on the open world from NMH) I wasn?t that satisfied with the open world. I wanted to make a lot more stuff, more detail. So this time in No More Heroes 2, I want to take my revenge. And actually, the theme of No More Heroes 2 is revenge, so??

? (Suda talking about an old E3 experience) For example, you had those booth babes that were just distributing some stuff - and I saw they were distributing condoms too. And then they were throwing pants! When I saw that I was like, wow! That?s great. One day, I want to be able to throw pants to the public. That?s one of my main goals.?

Suda serving as executive director on No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle, Toshihiro Fujikawa taking the reigns
Game designer and Grasshopper Manufacture president Goichi Suda (Suda 51) says that the assistant director for the first No More Heroes game, Toshihiro Fujikawa, will direct No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle.
Speaking with Nintendo Power, Suda revealed that he?ll once again write the sequel?s script, but will ?watch over the game as an executive director? this time around.

Fujikawa has previously served as the assistant director for several other Grasshopper titles, such as Samurai Champloo and Killer7.

Suda explained the Desperate Struggle subtitle:
Cytuj
?There?s a word in Japanese ? shito. Shi means ?death,? and to means ?fight.? When I tried to find an English translation on the Internet, it came up with Desperate Struggle.?

He also shared some hints on NMH 2?s story:

Cytuj
?This time, Travis [Touchdown] is looking for revenge. It?s a serious fight this time, and the word shito reflects that.

There?s a series of Japanese movies called Jingi Naki Tatakai that are about the yakuza. They?re really famous in Japan ? sort of the equivalent of The Godfather. They focus on the relationships between members of the Yakuza.

The subtitle for the second one is Hiroshima Shito Hen. That roughly translates to The Desperate Struggle of Hiroshima. Inspired by that, I wanted No More Heroes 2 to be The Desperate Struggle of Santa Destroy.

There?s a really intense fight in Hiroshima Shito Hen, and I wanted to sort of recreate that in No More Heroes 2.?

XSEED Games and Marvelous Interactive are slated to co-publish No More Heroes 2 stateside in January 2010.

Suda looking to surprise us with No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle
Cytuj
?We got lots of comments about the open world ant the Wii controls. We?re going to be using a lot of feedback from the users to improve on those two things. I once again want to surprise everyone like we did with the first No More Heroes.? - Suda51

Suda51 says ?big changes? in store for No More Heroes 2 open world, wishes he had a time machine?and could there be No More Heroes 3?
A portion of a Gamasutra interview with Suda51?

Cytuj
GS: When we first spoke, you talked about how you wanted to make an open-world game. No More Heroes is kind of along the path to that. Are you going to take that further into the user sandbox environment with the second game?

Goichi Suda: Yeah, we?ll once again manage to do what we want to do with realizing the open world, but expect big changes for No More Heroes 2?s open world.

GS: I?m curious to know how you feel about Flower, Sun and Rain finally coming out in the West on the DS now. Traditionally, these games come out in sequential order, in terms of when they were released, but in the case of your games, it?s more like now that Grasshopper is more popular, some of the older games are able to come out in the West.

What do you think about people now playing games that you made previously? Obviously, you?re continuing forward with your game design and creation philosophy. What do you think about people playing the older games now, perhaps not knowing that they?re actually older?

Suda: I?m just happy about that, because we had these games that were made eight years ago that I couldn?t really sell outside of Japan. And now, because I have Killer7 and No More Heroes, and I have some working conditions outside of Japan, too, people are really enjoying this project.

When I developed Flower, Sun, and Rain on the PS2 all those years ago, it was one of the most difficult times at Grasshopper. I would like to jump into a time machine, go back to eight years ago, and tell myself not to worry, and that things were going to be all right, and that we were going to release this title on the DS, too. But if I told myself that the game was going to be released on a handheld with two screens, I wouldn?t believe it. (laughter)

GS: Do you consider No More Heroes as a continuing series for you? Will it keep on going, or is 2 it?

Suda: That?s something I don?t really think about ? the future or the sequel. I?m just focusing on each title, so now I?m focusing on No More Heroes 2, and then we?re going to see later.

Destroy Man to return in No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle
Cytuj
I finished doing a Destroy Man part on a game called No More Heroes, which was popular. He?s kind of an unapologetic jerk of a character, and he makes a return in what I?m assuming is a second installment of that game, so I just finished that. - Josh Keaton, voice actor

Jeszcze niech wydadzą The World Ends With You na Wii , to początek 2010 b będzie należał do tej ślicznej małej konsolki.

Suda51 says No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle is at the end of production, can?t talk about EA/Mikami project
Cytuj
1UP: You?re working on No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle for release early next year. Can you give us an update on the game and the development process?

Suda: It?s the very end. If I had to say one word, I?d say it?s at the very end of production.

1UP: You?re working on a game with Shinji Mikami and EA. Can you give us any updates on when we might see something from that game? Maybe at the next Tokyo Game Show?

Suda: It?s up in the air whether we?re going to show something at TGS. EA has the right to decide to do stuff like that. We can only say that we?re working hard with Mikami-san, and trying our best to create the best game.

UBISOFT? TO PUBLISH NO MORE HEROES 2: DESPERATE STRUGGLE

Trailer, screenshots, and logo can be downloaded here: http://press.ubi.com
**THIS TRAILER MUST BE PLACED BEHIND AN AGE GATE. OFFICIAL LETTER INCLUDED**

SAN FRANCISCO ? June 1, 2009 ? Ubisoft? revealed today at its E3 press conference that the company will be releasing No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle exclusively for the Wii(TM) system from Nintendo in North America in early 2010. No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle follows up on the success of No More Heroes that garnered multiple industry awards, including GamePro's Wii game of the year, GameSpot's Best Wii game and Editor's Choice award and Best Original IP, IGN's Best Wii Story and Best Action Wii Game.

No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle continues the tale of punk anti-hero Travis Touchdown, the Japanese anime Otaku, and pro wrestling-obsessed assassin. Travis finds himself at the bottom of the UAA (United Assassins Association) rankings and must wage war to become the No. 1 assassin once again. The follow-up to the popular No More Heroes will offer fans infectious, fun gameplay that allows you to wield not just one, but two swords and face multiple bosses simultaneously in bigger-than-ever boss battles. The game is created by video game design legend Goichi Suda (Suda 51), developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and published by Marvelous Entertainment.

"Ubisoft is excited to bring No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle to North American gamers,? said Tony Key, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Ubisoft. "No More Heroes won countless accolades from both gamers and media alike, making the sequel one of the most anticipated core titles for Wii.?

E3 2009: Suda 51 on No More Heroes 2
The charismatic director tells us what to expect from the violent action sequel.
Cytuj
IGN: We love the No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle trailer. Tell us about the storyline in the game this time around.

Suda 51: Thank you. NMH2 picks up three years after the events of the original game. Travis lives in his same motel room, but Santa Destroy has changed and the city has been overtaken by an industrial conglomerate. Travis finds out about a terrible tragedy that shakes him up. His thirst for revenge pushes him to once again fight his way to the top of the UAA (United Assassins Association) rankings.

IGN: How has combat changed and improved for this sequel?

Suda 51: The sword system will remain consistent with that of NMH1, with improved accuracy. Travis can fight with a beam katana in each hand in NMH2. Having 2 katanas will certainly make him more dangerous and have an impact on the gameplay.

IGN: Are you using Wii MotionPlus at all for swordplay?

Suda 51: We'd surely like to. IGN: Travis can dual-wield weapons now. How does that work?

Suda 51: That is correct. It is too early to discuss how exactly it will work at this time. It is safe to say that having two swords makes Travis much more of a deadly fighter.

IGN: In the first game, Travis had a bunch of wrestling moves. That's obviously something you love. How have you expanded the melee combat system for Desperate Struggle?

Suda 51: Expect some really cool new wrestling moves in NMH2. You will hear more about this later on.

IGN: How has the open world changed or been enhanced over the first game?

Suda 51: Rest assured that the city of Santa Destroy has been much improved and will offer you many more interesting opportunities. Sorry but I can't discuss the details yet, you will find out more about this soon. IGN: What would you say is the biggest difference between Desperate Struggle and the first game?

Suda 51: The story will be much more deeper and the overall volume of the game is bigger. Everything that you liked in the first one is back and even better. There are also many cool new additions to the game that you will learn more about in the near future.

IGN: How have you enhanced the graphics over the first title?

Suda 51: We certainly think the graphics are better, you can be the judge.

IGN: Desperate Struggle seems like a bigger game than the first. How many assassins do you have to kill this time around?

Suda 51: NMH2 is definitely on a far bigger scale than the first. It's too soon to say too much, but expect a lot more boss battles this time.

IGN: Will the game be as violent as the first, or more violent?

Suda 51: As with the first game, it will be a mature game in the US.

IGN: Any final words for those eagerly anticipating the game?

Suda 51: Travis strikes back! Look forward to some old favorites returning along with some other really cool surprises!

?You don?t need to put any limits when it comes to raw expression. Limiting expression is just something set up by people to please other people. So we didn?t do anything like that for No More Heroes 2.? - SUDA51

Suda51 clarifies - intentions of doing another No More Heroes game for Nintendo's next console
Cytuj
Talk about a mistranslation! Awhile back, we heard that Suda51 was calling it quits for the No More Heroes franchise on Wii. That interview went on to say that the franchise was going to continue on 360 or PS3. A sad day for Nitnendo fans, it was.

Well I have great news...that interview was mistranslated! Suda has full intentions of continuing the franchise...but he'll do so on Nintendo's next platform! Check out this portion of a 1up interview with Suda...

1UP: You mentioned once that No More Heroes 2 would be the last game in the series on Wii. Have you done any experiments on what it might be like on another platform, especially with the new motion controllers that have been announced for other systems?

GS: Actually, I answered differently, and it may have been misinterpreted. What I wanted to say was, looking at the Wii, I think No More Heroes 2 will probably be the last iteration for this current platform. But there's probably going to be a "Wii 2" or other next-gen system from Nintendo at some point, so I was saying that I would want to do another game in the series on the next Nintendo platform.

I want to continue the No More Heroes series, but I've finished the story for Travis. It's completely finished in No More Heroes 2. So I want to think of a different story -- a different character, or something like that within the series -- starting on the next Nintendo platform.

Well, that's much better! I have a huge smile on my face after reading that. I also got a smile when I read Suda's impressions of Miyamoto...

1UP:
Yeah, I don't think Mr. Endo became very recognized in America, because of bad timing, I guess, which was kind of a shame.

GS: Oh, is that so? Yeah, he's a videogame god.

1UP:
Even higher than Erik Chahi? [Laughs]

GS: Well, Erik is still human. Endo, Miyamoto... they're the gods
