Great news for fighting game fans. Capcom isn't done with HD Remixes, and one fighting game that could be next for the treatment is Marvel vs. Capcom 2, the company has revealed.Capcom has enjoyed terrific success with Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix, released on Xbox LIVE late last year and more recently on PSN. As of late last year, official figures showed the game had sold 250,000 units, shattering both day one and week one sales records.Speaking to VideoGamer.com, Capcom's Christian Svensson, vice president, business development and strategic planning, said that while "not every game needs it", the company was "potentially" going to apply the HD Remix treatment to other fighting games in its back catalogueHe said: "Are we done doing HD Remixes? No we're not done. But the next ones that we do will be even better, based on what we learned."When asked if Marvel vs. Capcom 2 was a game that didn't need the HD Remix treatment, Svensson replied: "I won't say it doesn't need it. Marvel would be great to do. There's obviously a fan base for it. It's probably our most requested title. Unfortunately, I wish I had news to share on that front but I don't."The chances of Capcom making Marvel vs. Capcom 3, however, are less likely. "I would never say never but I would say the barriers to doing that are much higher than the barriers for MvC2," said Svensson.

According to a rumor in the latest issue of PlayStation: The Official Magazine (Issue # 018), Metal Gear Solid 5 will be announced by Konami some time in April or May. We personally think that such a major announcement would be better suited for E3, but we?d like to think PTOM knows what they are talking about.Speculation suggests a prequel (to Metal Gear Solid 4) featuring Raiden and how he became a Cyborg Ninja, and managed to save Sunny from the Patriots, or a squad based game featuring the newly formed FOXHOUND team being led by Meryl.PTOM also notes that MGS5 might not be directed by Kojima, but he would probably be involved in some way. They also go on to say that Kojima might have his hands full working on Max Savage, a game that was originally a dream sequence Big Boss had in MGS3.

PSU Exclusive Pre-GDC teaser from ORiGO GAMES LTDhttp://www.psu.com/forums/showthread.php?t=195607
The new SKU, confirmed by our tipster's photo, bundles the now-standard 80 GB console and two Greatest Hits games: MotorStorm and Resistance: Fall of Man. Those that have managed to keep track of the various SKUs will find this package awfully similar to a bundle launched in Europe in 2007. Heck, all it does is add Resistance to the now-defunct MotorStorm bundle.Unfortunately, our tipster says this new bundle doesn't come with a price drop. The SKU will retail for $399, the same price as the current low-end PS3. Yes, the addition of two free games makes it a better value, but this bundle can't replace the "price drop" analysts have been predicting (and publishers have been begging for). Either this is a Target-specific bundle, or this will be one of the most unexciting PS3 announcements to date.
Originally planned for a 24th of March release date, Ascaron's action RPG Sacred 2: Fallen Angel has now been pushed back until May 12th.
It's no secret that Sony has been looking at bringing more PlayStation classics to its PlayStation Network Store. Since that announcement, however, Sony has yet to release any significant titles to back it up. Fortunately, Capcom is stepping up to the plate in order to deliver on the PlayStation goodies. With this week's release of Resident Evil 5, fans of the series have started to cry out more for re-releases of the original Resident Evil titles for download.According to Christian Svensson, Capcom has sent in their first batch of PlayStation titles for certification. "The first PS1 titles for PSN were submitted last week ... when I have some dates for them, we'll let you know ..."Many have speculated for some time now that these would include more additions to the Street Fighter family, but it goes without saying that Capcom has a healthy library of titles it could offer outside of the storied fighting franchise. Hopefully with a little more time, Capcom Unity and Svensson will be able to announce some key titles that some of our readers have been demanding for quite some time now.
