In the latest issue of Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, Capcom indicated that 2009 would be 'the year of multiplatform'. In 2009, they will be focusing on releasing primarily multiplatform games for both the PlayStation 3 and XBox 360. This includes the sequel to the 360 exclusive zombie beat 'em up, Dead Rising. The sequel has finally been confirmed, and is due to hit in 2009. Capcom does promise some special goodies exclusive to the 360 version, in order to show it's good will towards the console.

wszystko ładnie pięknie, ale to brzmi dokładnie jak teraz było z Wii, architektura ta sama, tylko dwa razy silniejsza(pamiętam teksty o sklejonych dwóch gamecubach taśmą). jak jest każdy widzi. W cellu drzemie dużo większy potencjał, mozna zrobić procesor który będzie miał np. 50 rdzeni, dlaczego ograniczać się tylko do 2x ps3??

btw. jakiś czas temu nie chciało mi się wierzyć, jak iras wróżył takie cuda. w sumie to nadal mi się nie chce i mam nadzieje, że ps4 dwa razy mocniejsze niż ps3 to jakaś bujda na resorach.

Resistance 3: Modern Warfare in the works?

There is a new rumor doing the rounds that Resistance 3 may follow in the footsteps of Call of Duty and do a re-imaging of the game to a more modern warfare setting.
There is word that some of the ideas that have been thrown around regarding the next installment of Resistance involve shifting the timeline to the present or near future. Instead of continuing the game in the alternate World War II timeframe, the game would move forward to modern times to blend weapons of today with the alien invasion.
The big question on my mind is will we finally get to have an all out war with the pre-generative species to the Chimera virus?
It is difficult to say when Insomniac Games will announce plans for the next installment to the series as the company remains mostly elusive. Although, Insomniac fans can be almost 90% sure that a new Ratchet & Clank game will be released by the end of this year to hold you over till the next Resistance installment.

As you can see, Dell has the PS3 priced at $339.99 and just last week Amazon had it listed for a little over $350. I believe Sony might have a strategy behind this and is working with companies to determine how much they should drop the price of the PlayStation 3. Think about it, if Amazon has the PS3 listed at a little over $350 and there is not much of a sales spike, Sony would see that dropping the system $50 would not be effective. Now if Dell has the system at $339.99 and the sales jump drastically, Sony would realize that dropping the system more than $50 would be an effective way to sell more consoles.

Apparently it's no longer possible to share your PSN account with someone else. It's illegal in the first place, but one could do otherwise. Today someone figured out that he can't play the PSN games anymore that he got from someone else's PSN account.

Gametrailers to make big PS3 exclusive announcement today

Keep an eye on the site this afternoon for some new info on a big PS3 exclusive. I'm also discussing it on this Friday's Invisible Walls.

You can venture a guess as to what it is, but I won't be confirming.

While there are games coming out for the PS3 that we haven?t heard a whole lot about, like Heavy Rain, MAG, Gran Turismo 5 and Fumito Ueda?s next project (otherwise known to you as Team ICO)
It seems that Today all of this is about to change as GameTrailers have revealed that they will have exclusive news on a PS3 exclusive today.
Although Associate Editor of the site, Daniel Bloodworth, has said not to expect anything of the megaton kind.

    ?Please don?t turn this into some megaton announcement/letdown. It?s worth looking forward to, but probably won?t blow your head off.?

So the only logical reason is either he?s double bluffing us or today we see a brand new game for the PS3 which will be great but not megaton worthy.
That 2nd reason leaves me to believe it?s the new Ratchet & Clank.
We?ve known it?s been coming since Quest for Booty and it is a R&C year this year after Resistance 2 last year.
So, place your bets.
Mine: As much as I want it to be Team ICO, it has to be Ratchet & Clank.
