More GTA For PSP?

Sony's head of PSP hardware marketing in the US, John Koller, told MTV that despite the next edition of Grand Theft Auto - subtitled Chinatown Wars - being released on Nintendo DS, Sony want more GTA on their own handheld system.

"We've had two that are the two top sellers on PSP right now," said Koller. "So, there's definitely continued conversations with Rockstar on all their brands."

When questioned about the DS entry, Koller remained calm and optimistic, despite both Chinatown Wars and The Lost and the Damned, the recently released 360-exclusive DLC for Grand Theft Auto IV, not being available on Sony's systems. "We certainly have a tremendous relationship with them and always have."

Rockstar reportedly declined to comment to MTV.

GTA: Chinatown Wars is due out on the 20th of March, on Nintendo DS. The Lost and the Damned DLC expansion for GTA4 was released exclusively on the Xbox 360 last week, and we're hoping to have a full review up sometime this week.

SCEE has announced that a new Jak & Daxter game will release later this year on PSP and PS2.
Titled Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier, the game picks up from where the original trilogy left off, with Jak and furry friend Daxter teaming up with Kiera on her quest to become a Sage and save their world from the threat of darkness.
As well as the series? usual on-foot platforming, the game will also include five different aircraft allowing players to blast airborne enemies and battle sky pirates with your powerful Gunstaff ? a brand-new weapon that can transform into other new weapons.
Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier releases this Autumn, and just in case you were wondering, this isn?t an April Fools.

Harmonix and Electronic Arts announced today that PSP music sim Rock Band Unplugged will be released in North America and Europe ?beginning June 9, 2009.?

This PSP exclusive entry will feature over 40 master-recordings, including nine exclusive songs for a limited time. There will also be an in-game store for downloadable content, taking advantage of the PSP's wireless capabilities. Powered by the PlayStation Network, gamers can use their existing network accounts to purchase tracks.

Lost in the mix of the the usual Japanese news this week was a bit of good news for Armored Core fans. According to Famitsu, the long-running franchise is finally getting another entry on the PSP. Unfortunately, it's a port. A really old port.
Eight Armored Core games ended up being developed for the PlayStation 2, with many saying that Last Raven was the best of them. Armored Core 3, however, was the third PS2 entry, debuting all the way back in 2002.

Continuing the recent flood of PlayStation Portable announcements, Sony has announced that SOCOM is making its way back to the handheld. Not only that, they're returning to the Fireteam Bravo brand that made up the first two installments.
SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3 puts players in the "ominous world of ex-secret operatives" as they try to trave down a former KGB agent. Naturally, there are weapons of mass destruction involved, and it'll be up to players to stop it.
Continuing in the franchise's long history of multiplayer gaming, Fireteam Bravo 3 features combat through both ad-hoc and global networks and will also support online leader boards and voice chat. Under development by Slant Six Games, you can expect Fireteam Bravo 3 this winter.

If Europeans are hoping for new PSP colors like us in North America, you're going to have to continue to hold your breath. Unfortunately, this new PSP Bundle don't include any new glamor, but they do contain a ton of win. Starting on May 8, Sony will be launching a new Go!View PlayStation Portable Bundle in Europe. Each bundle will come packaged with a free 2-month subscription to the Go!View service.
For those of you unaware, Go!View is the official video download service for PSP, a monthly subscription to which costs between ?5 and ?10.
This latest bundle will retail for ?149.99, and will include the PSP-3000 console, a 2GB memory stick and a voucher that gives you two months access to Go!View. Consumers can also choose to pick-up a different media bundle package which includes a very large 4GB memory card and the same 2-month voucher for Go!View's services. This slimmer package will retail for ?29.99.

Firma Electronic Arts ogłosiła dziś, że ciekawie zapowiadająca się gra akcji Dante's Inferno zostanie wydana również na przenośną konsolę PSP. Tą wersją zajmą się do spółki studia EA Redwood Shores oraz Artificial Mind and Movement. Nawiązujący w dość luźny sposób do dzieł Dantego Alighieri tytuł został ujawniony już wcześniej także na mocniejsze platformy, czyli PlayStation 3 oraz Xboksa 360.
Jonathan Knight, nadzorujący prace nad Dante's Inferno, zapowiedział, że zespoły zamierzają przenieść wizję gry bezpośrednio na PSP. Posiadacze konsoli otrzymają podobno tyle samo szybkiej akcji na dziewięciu szczegółowych poziomach, co miłośnicy mocniejszych platform. Z wcześniejszych doniesień wiemy, że każdy z układów będzie unikalny pod względem stylistyki i zawartości.

Ja. Oszczędzam UMD, mam szybsze loadingi a bateria wytrzymuje 30% dłużej. Wysłać zdjęcie moich 30 gier na PSP na ładnej kupce?

Artykuł jest beznadziejny:

1. Spiracona kopia =/= kupiona kopia. Podstawowy błąd przy liczeniu strat.
2. 130k w pierwszym miesiącu gry na PSP? Sorry, ale jak dla mnie to niezły wynik.
3. Nikt nie zaopatruje się w starsze modele  OFW jest łamany w dzień-dwa dni po wyjściu. A jak ktoś kupił PSP-3000 to jego problem. Bezsensowny upgrade z PSP-2000.

Jak ktoś nieźle napisał na NeoGAF: posiadacze PSP mają prawdopodobnie duże konsole - X360 i PS3, dlatego najpierw kupią gry na te konsole. Gówniarze i mamuśki z DS nie mają dużych konsol. Poza tym - duża część osób używa PSP jako media player i do emulacji, nie do gier PSP.

Broken Destiny isn't a port, though; the Project Soul team has built this version specifically to target beginners and novice players with SCIV's content but has added improvements. There will be arcade, versus, and survival modes, as well as a character creation mode, but the only details disclosed at this point are that there will be new parts to play with in the creation mode and that the other modes have been "evolved." What we do know is that a new single-player mode is being implemented to bring new players up to speed and show them the intricacies of the game--almost like an enhanced tutorial system. It is designed to help improve your fighting skills, so newcomers who might be intimidated by the series can find a way to ease into an intense fighting regimen. There are more than 80 exercise missions for you to hone your fighting skills in.

The game is currently set to be released exclusively on the PSP this summer.

Namco Bandai didn't release many specifics, but we do know that the portable version of the game is set to release alongside the other console iterations and will pack additional stages, content, items, and an ad-hoc multiplayer mode using "original" and "fan favorite characters." The PSP version will also have "Ghost" Infrastructure mode so that a player can upload his or her character data as well as download others' to see how everyone's skills stack up.
