Namco's Tales team is churning out Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World. It's a Wii exclusive, and Namco Bandai producer Teruaki Konishi told us that the game wasn't designed to be multi-plat. In fact, since Namco didn't design the game's memory to fit for the PlayStation 2, a possible (and seemingly profitable) PS2 port is thus ruled out Namco Bandai stated.

Despite releasing in Japan and the US last year to commercial success, there's still no firm release date for Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World for dear old Europe. The Wii follow-up to Gamecube's most cherished RPG outsold the higher-budget, 360 title Tales of Vesperia in all other territories last year.Now though, publisher Namco Bandai have begun to respond to multiple eager Europeans who want to get their mitts on Dawn of the New World and Vesperia via e-mail: Thank you very much for your interest in our game. Tales of Vesperia (XBOX360) and Tales of Synphonia: Dawn of the New World (Wii) will be released in Europe in the 2nd half of 2009.So there it is straight from the horse's mouth. No clear indication of a date as of yet, and we'll still wait for an official press release, but it's at least looking a little more hopeful for us Europeans.
