?Prelude to an OVERKILL? tells the fateful stories of Agent Washington and Varla Gunns, on the night before the violent and shocking events of the game. (www.myspace.com/blackmekon), this specially-commissioned comic is only available in The House of the Dead: OVERKILL Collector?s Edition.

The House of the Dead: OVERKILL puts players in the shoes of Special Agent G and Detective Washington. Whilst mowing down waves of infected blood-thirsty zombies in a last-ditch effort to survive Bayou City, gamers uncover the horrific truth behind the origins of the House of the Dead.

- intro video is live-action B-movie style video. It?s the young woman we saw from the first trailer
- very fast gameplay
- character conversations are very B-movie like
- framerate issues with 2 players when in populated areas
- every chapter has its own movie poster
- narrator introduces the action
- Character traits: Washington is hyper-aggressive in the humorous way. Agent G is a very patient man.
- game is big on foul language
- level settings: House, forest with a river running through it, carnival, hospital, train and more
- unlockable mode allows for dual wielding
- reload by shaking or shooting after the reload message pops up
- final boss of train level is a giant bug

After getting a couple years of catch-up light gun games from SEGA, we?re finally getting to the good stuff. The House of the Dead: Overkill blends some great gameplay with an impressive style, some great humor, and enough violence and vulgarity to confuse the hell out of soccer moms looking for a new Sims game or Petz title. I wouldn?t put the overall production value or difficulty up there with WoW?s offerings just yet, but for a relaunch of the series on Wii, Overkill is off to a very nice start. A few technical hitches can be found, and it?s obvious that the team had its hands full trying to get this one out the door with as much as possible, but even more polish and refinement in the future could do wonders for the series on Wii. The characters are great, the story is just outlandish enough for us to plop it right in there along with Dead Alive, Evil Dead, or They Live, though the profanity could be toned down a bit, used only when it feels natural instead of nearly every line of dialogue. As far as on-rails shooters go on Wii, Overkill sits at the top of the pile. When it comes to The House of the Dead overall, I?d say HOTD2 and the most recent HOTD4 still take the cake, though it?s obvious Headstrong games has what it takes to hang with the big boys. Buy this awesome addition to Wii?s hardcore library en mass, so we can all get another dose of Dead on Wii ASAP.

SEGA?s 2009 ?Big 3? lineup is one for one thus far. Viva la hardcore.

Przez 3 godziny dialogów pada 189 słów na "k" (na "f" w wersji angielskiej), co daje nieco ponad słówko na minutę. Gaz Deaves z Księgi Rekordów Guinnessa skomentował:
"Ta kategoria rekordów istniała już wcześniej dla filmów, muzyki i telewizji, ale House of the Dead: Overkill jest pierwszą grą wideo nagrodzoną w Gamers Edition [Księgi, dop. JT]. To znak czasów."

Udało mi się kupić Overkill'a w przyzwoitej cenie .
Gra gniecie kroniki umbrelli w każdym calu - grafika, grywalność, dynamika, humor, multi 
Nie przepadam za grami on rail , ale Overkill potrafi wciągnąć  .Pozycja obowiązkowa dla posiadaczy Wii .

Nie, skorzystałem z innej aukcji  .Zapłaciłem ciut drożej ,ale warto było

W trybie story trochę krotka jest, ale w wersji reżyserskiej przedłużyli rozgrywkę o dodatkowe lokacje .Grę naprawdę polecam ,jeszcze nigdy tak zajebiaszczo się nie rozwalało mutantów (nie używamy słowa na "Z"  ) jak w HotD .Na dodatek bronie tuningujemy tak samo jak w UH  .
